Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
€85 a night from Sunday to Thursday and €90 on Fridays and Saturdays, including final cleaning, bed linen and towels. From 7 nights the nightly rate is 10% lower. If you travel with a pet, there is a €20 supplement per stay.
Why is it cheaper here than on Airbnb or Booking?
When you book directly there are no platform fees, so the saving stays in your price. Same flat, same house rules, same check-in.
How do I pay?
Online when you book, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments go through Stripe, so your card details never reach me.
Can I cancel?
Yes, free of charge until 3 pm the day before arrival, with a full refund to the same card. After that time the stay is non-refundable.
Is the tourist tax included?
No. It is a City of Genoa tax, paid separately per person per night, for the first 8 nights only. Genoa residents do not pay it.
How does arrival work?
Before you arrive I send you a link for online check-in with your ID, as Italian law requires. Once that is done, from 3 pm you let yourself in with a personal code on the smart lock.
Can I arrive early or leave late?
Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out by 10 am. If you need different times, just ask: when the calendar allows it, it can be arranged for a small fee.
Can I work remotely?
Yes. The Wi-Fi is fast in every room and the table for six works well as a desk.
Where can I park?
On the public street near the flat, free of charge. The flat has no private parking space, and free parking about 3 km from the centre of Genoa is hard to come by.
What are the house rules?
No smoking indoors; smoking is fine on the balcony. The building asks for quiet from 11 pm. Pets are welcome, just tell me when you book.
